i am a brunnette too, and i have blonde highlights. they r natural but i wasn't born with them. when you r outside a lot when it is sunny it makes ur hair have lighter highlights. it is the perfect way with out spending any money. i won't work the first time though. u have to spend a whole bunch of time out their. it doesn't take years, just about a month or so. that may seem like a lot, but it isn't unless u want them now.

without a kit? what do you mean? you could always use bleach! without a kit....you can go to your stylist and she will hook you up without a kit from the store!
just put some color on a comb and comb it in works all the time
