PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK!omg/What highlights should I have (if any) with black hair and a dark complexion?
i think you should get red high lights if you want.

But your hair is probably beautiful, don't ruin it by dying it. Let it stay a virgin(your hair) I put blond high lights in mine b/c i am fair skin. But i only do it once or twice a year, b/c i don't want to ruin my hair. You have perfect color skin for your hair. :) And your hair might not take the first time b/c its dark. My friend had to go back more then once to fix it b/c her hair is so dark. Just be careful if you decide to do it. :)
gold, its v common now. if u wan smth rarer jus dye the edges with a bright color like red or yellow or blue or dark green.
light gold
auburn

chocolate brown

ash blonde
i think black hair looks so pretty when its just a really deep black, but i saw a girl the other day with a blue stripe, it sounds weird but looks amazing xoxo
red highlites. blonde won't go right with ur hair color or complexion.
Dark blue, blended with your natural color
brown or any abnormal color.
wouldnt have any blondes it will lokk horrid sorry but if you want the funky look i like electric blue on the tips looks best round the bottom and up the sides if this is shaped and tip on the fringe i really like this look and i think it is different.

hope i have given you some ideas
I'd go a little bit lighter..not too drastic. Maybe put some browns in there...NOT blonde. If you have a drastic difference like blonde and black your hair will look greasy.
Platinum blond would look so good on u and it will go perfect with ur skin tone!!
A dark red/burgundy could look lovely. I don't care for blonde/light highlights on black hair. They look too fake.
Either a Dark Caramel or Dark Red

NOTHING Light!
yuu should have red highlights because it wud look rely cool with black hair n everything
Honey Bronze dark%26amp;lovely. It'll give you just enough without leaving you looking like a mop.
red!!!!! that would look really really good!!
caramel or darker brown. it will highlight your har and make your complextion seem smoother. caramel is shimmery and will give you an underglow look. darker brown will make your hair look darker, making you look more mysterious. depending on your personality.
burgundy
don't if you just fancy a change buy them different colour hair extensions clips
Don't go yellow/gold unless you want to look fake. Black hair doesn't have yellow/gold highlights when the sun bleaches it. It has reddish highlights. If you have it professionally highlighted, you could go with a pale lilac. If done properly, it will hardly be noticiable it is lilac but it will pick up the light and really shine. Depends on whether you want to enhance the color or have a bold, vibrant contrast.
as a hairdresser i would ask your stylist for lowlights. i would go up to 3 shades lighter than your natural colour which would be low maintence for the future or go for more vibrant colours like red or burgandy be careful though coz they fade very quickly and can leave your hair looking tacky.
Anything too light will make you look like a skunk or the bride of Frankenstein. How about a burgundy or deep auburn. It should show off the depth of your hair without looking stripe-y.
Caramel color.
I had red highlights, but wouldnt recommend as the dye comes out very quickly and it ends up an organge look as dark hair has to be bleached first - dont do it! I had to get it cut short eventually.
This is a tough one. i think the red tips sound nice. I had them but with my blonde hair, after washing made them look a bit ginger but with dark hair go for it! My friend has dark hair and has had pink, purple and blonde in it (not at the same time). Dont go for too much though!
red...?
None, if it doesn't happen naturally in the sun, it will look silly on you if you do it with chemicals.

If you're looking for a change, I might suggest one of those dark hair toners that doesn't change the color completely, but gives it a red, blue, maroon, etc. shine in the sun/bright light. They look really pretty on asian/hispanic/black hair. (Not sure of your ethnicity) Ask your hairstylist about them.
