What color highlights should I put in my hair??

my hair is dark black and I really want to put highlights in my hair before i go to HS.


I know lot of people will say red but i dont want red cuz my sister has red in her hair n if i get it she will say i copied her.


but if i do choose red would it look right if i put it at the tips





what ever color u think is cute n perfect should i do it straps by strap or the tip of my hair?What color highlights should I put in my hair??
