You might want to try some honey low lights in your hair.A very pretty color for golden hair. I also have platinum highlights in my gold hair and I love them. When you go to the beauty shop ask them to see samples of the different hair colors they have and they may help you to choose the right color for your hair and skin type. Remember this, blonde hair gets very dirty, the color starts to look dull and dingy, use a shampoo that is specific for blonde hair after you get highlights. I use a shampoo called Shimmer Lights. Its a purple shampoo that brightens blonde highlights and it works great.Blonde hair, highlights/lowlights?
Low lights aren't popular during the summer season. Get high lights, and in a warm shade. However, because your hair is already golden and a warm color, getting really ultra light white-blonde high lights would look great. If you tan, it would also bring out the warmer skin tone.

I actually got highlights (like a bleach blonde) and lowlights (a darker carmelly color), like you already said. But I guess it really depends if you want to lighten your hair or darken it.
