Hair highlights!?

i have light tan skin and being an indian girl, im having trouble finding the right shade of highlights for my black hair... please help!Hair highlights!?
see a professional. We can get you a shade a few levels lighter than your natural color and it will still look natural. For best result be realistic in your choice. This means don't go blonde and don't let a stylist tell you to do this either. It won't look right and they will have to use bleach to get you that light. Often you end up brassy within a few weeks of the process. Its not worth it. Just pick something 2 shades lighter than your natural color and make sure your salon has a professional COLORIST, this is someone that has a certificate from a color company, not just the dept of state licensing board. You want to make sure you get the best for your money. When choosing the lighter color for highlights also make sure to hold the test hair next to your eyes, forehead, AND cheeks. You want to really be happy with what you pick before you go through with the process. In any event, make it clear you do not want bleach used and you prefer a color process. If they say it can't be done, you find a new salon cause they are incorrect and not educated enough to do this for you!Hair highlights!?
I have black hair...and i have the highlights of strawberry blonde. That would look really nice on you....which even better is a cookie brown. That would look good on you!
Why not put a red tinge it in with henna? I know an indian girl that did that and it looked really pretty with her thick black hair.
