Honey, you don't need to wait at all, I do highlights and colors everyday, and I always shampoo to get the Excess dye out.


If its bleach, it will never fade, and waiting 24 hours or so will do nothing to keep it from dulling.


The shampoo you use will though, be sure you use one formulated for the color you got, or a good salon shampoo, I really like Nexus (which is now available at walmart, try their Therape shampoo, and their Humectrus conditioner, it works in the shower and as a leave in.) and Biolage.

dont really matter. when i got my hair highlighted i washed my hair that night with my regular shampoo. no real difference.

wait atleast 48 hours, that should work just fine
a day and get the shampoo that helps keep yur color
A day should be fine. I can never wait though and it hasn't seemed to damage my highlighting job.

it wont hurt it to wash it now, if you can use shampoo and conditioner that is for highlightes
Wait one day at least. When you wash it, use shampoo and conditioner that won't dry your hair out (i.e. don't use something super cheap or ';clarifying';). Something that is intended for colored hair will work best.





Also good to purchase a product that protects from sun damage.
