A few days ago i got my hair lowlighted and i asked her to dye the bottom half of my hair my natural color (dirty blonde) and it looks like it has a red/light brown tint. it's a wierd color and it's definitely not my natural color. Will it fade? Is the reddish tint because my hair was a lighter blonde and then she tried to do dirty blonde?
I was born blonde and my hair gradually got darker but my natural color is still a dirty blonde/ kind of greyish brown...how hard is it to match hair colors?Hair: highlighting, low lighting, %26amp; dying?
I am blonde and when I try to add lowlights my hair seems to turn red also. Next time tell her you have a tendency to go red. If your stylist was to use ash colors you would probably get rid of the red problem. Hope this helps ;)Hair: highlighting, low lighting, %26amp; dying?
I know what you mean my hair color naturally is the same ashy color...I bet what happened is you have natural red undertones in your hair which have a tendency to come out when your hair is colored. I think two things happened you have the natural undertones and the lady didn't use enough ash because ashy colors are supposed to help neutralize the red and brassy colors. Next time I would talk to the hair dresser about it and see what her opinion is if you don't like it get your money back and find somebody else.
im so i2 doin hair i dyed ma sis hair i recomend dye dat ur hair color n da oter ahlf da color u want its da only way.. oter wise itl tak long 2 fade o it wnt

I have natural medium brown hair, that i never got colored before, and for the summer, i want to get highlight
sorry.... i said...I have natural medium brown hair, that i never got colored before, and for the summer, i want to get highlights or streaks of light blonde in my brown hair, so i want my natural brown hair with blonde highlights, but i want streaks more, so can someone please show me a box of hair streaks, if not streaks, then highlights of light blonde, so i can get that color with my real brown hair. Also would that look cute, or what kind of blonde should i get in my hair? thank you so much. plz hurry and help!I need to get my hair cut, highlighted and styled. Any ideas?
Please keep your hair long, lots of my friends with curly hair have gone short and it looks awful and unmanagable.
Keep it longer, but get some layers and some cute highlights.
Avoid heat as you don't want to damage your hair, instead scrunch it using some mousse after a shower, and use some smoothing shining spritz afterwards- perfect.
Work with what you have- don't try to straighten it.
if you do use some large barrel curlers, remember to use some heat protection.
you're gorgeous so make the most of it- having layers will make your hair look gorgeous and curly- not a fuzzy mass of hair.
lol.
have fun

Highlights on reddish dark brown hair?
Does anyone have any experience with doing this at home? I would like to put natural looking highlights in my dyed dark brown reddish hair. What product and method should I use?Highlights on reddish dark brown hair?

heres an example of one

If you want highlights in any red then I would not do this at home! Red bleeds and it bleeds bad! You may want to go see a professional the highlights alone would likely cost around $50 but if you do them at home alone then there is a really good chance you will end up with pink highlights.

Hair highlights!?
i have light tan skin and being an indian girl, im having trouble finding the right shade of highlights for my black hair... please help!Hair highlights!?
see a professional. We can get you a shade a few levels lighter than your natural color and it will still look natural. For best result be realistic in your choice. This means don't go blonde and don't let a stylist tell you to do this either. It won't look right and they will have to use bleach to get you that light. Often you end up brassy within a few weeks of the process. Its not worth it. Just pick something 2 shades lighter than your natural color and make sure your salon has a professional COLORIST, this is someone that has a certificate from a color company, not just the dept of state licensing board. You want to make sure you get the best for your money. When choosing the lighter color for highlights also make sure to hold the test hair next to your eyes, forehead, AND cheeks. You want to really be happy with what you pick before you go through with the process. In any event, make it clear you do not want bleach used and you prefer a color process. If they say it can't be done, you find a new salon cause they are incorrect and not educated enough to do this for you!Hair highlights!?
I have black hair...and i have the highlights of strawberry blonde. That would look really nice on you....which even better is a cookie brown. That would look good on you!
Why not put a red tinge it in with henna? I know an indian girl that did that and it looked really pretty with her thick black hair.

Hair Highlights Question?
im getting orange and red ';permanent'; highlights on my brown hair tomorrow... how do you think this would look?
o. i was aiming for the ';Hayley Williams'; hair thing... but in order to do that my hair would need to be bleached and im not into ruining my hair permanently...
im pretty nervous :| do you guys think it will look good?Hair Highlights Question?
Are you going for the ultra bright red and orange? Not sure who Haylee Williams is. If you are talking about the bright streaks, it will probably have to be bleached first anyways. Reds you can do but not the really bright red without prelightening. Some of the copper/gold colors are really pretty too. Any color process will damage your hair a little. Get a good color retention shampoo and conditioner from the salon you go to to get the color. Have fun with it! Good luck. Sounds awesome.Hair Highlights Question?
honestly.. red + orange highlights do not look in any way shape or form attractive.
if your hair is long enough why not go for a SOFT PERM? and get that out of the beach- wavy hair look? it is gorgeous.
spend that money for highlights on getting a massage or pedi+mani instead..
red/orange highlights.. is a big N-O
Me personally i think it would look silly with orange highlights, red would be fine :)
i would advise you have a bleach bath, that's what we do in the UK , or it could go really wrong and the boys will definitely notice you but for the wrong reasons....
i would get temp like spray stuff for hollowen typ temps and see what it looks like so that way u can see what u would think of it and others would think of it too and if u dont like it u cant gust wash it out
eww no!
I think it will look fine. A little crayz at first but then everyone will like it.
Seriously, orange highlights? Red is fine, but orange, permanent???camcorders

Hair highlights question... please help..?
ok so a few months ago i got red highlights in my black hair, i still hav in it my hair, but i want blonde highlights. can i get blonde on top, or do i hav to wait till my red highlights fall out? plz helpHair highlights question... please help..?
You can do blonde over red, but your hair colorist will not recommend it. If you do get this done, make sure they use a toner for your hair after they've dyed it so that it will not turn orange.Hair highlights question... please help..?

Chemicals are not good for your hair. I recommend getting hair extensions for highlihgts.
no, you can do blonde over red. the blonde pretty much over does the red. especially if you use bleach.
you can do blonde over red, just make sure the color is on long enough so you dont end up pink..
